Emanuel is 23 years
old and graduated from high school this year. Emanuel has been in the orphanage since
2003. Emanuel had some really rough years because of foundational things that he missed in
grade school and middle school. But, because of persistence and hard work, he graduated
this year and has been accepted into the university in Ouagadougou. Emanuel is a very serious and determined young man. Without these qualities, he would not have made it through school. Because of the many problems in the system of education, only the very best and the most motivated students make it through school here. Emanuel is not sure what he wants to major in but he can take the first year to declare his major. He dreams of being a diplomat.
