JOSIE - A SHELTERING WINGS SUCCESS STORY

Josie was the very first child to come to the orphanage. She was living with her grandmother in a village about 10 miles from Yako. She rode her bike to and from school each day. Both of her parents have died.

Grandmother asked whether Josie could stay with us so that she could continue her studies. Often she missed school because her bicycle had a flat tire or else someone else needed to use the bicycle.

Josie lived with us and continued her studies for 3 years. After high school, Josie went to nursing school and she graduated this year (2007). Josie has returned to the orphanage and is working for us and also doing an internship at the local hospital in order to expand her skills.
